About TravelPerk
Business travel has always lived in a grey zone: complex enough to require structured management, human enough not to be reduced to a simple automated process. Legacy solutions — corporate travel agencies, GDS systems from the 1980s — survived for decades not because they were good, but because switching costs were high. TravelPerk chose to challenge this status quo by building an all-in-one business travel platform that integrates booking of flights, hotels, trains, and rental cars with corporate policy management, expense reporting, and reimbursements. Founded in Barcelona by Avi Meir, Javier Suárez, and Ron Levin, TravelPerk solved one of the main problems for travel managers: having access to the widest possible inventory at competitive prices while maintaining control over spending and policy compliance. The platform integrates with leading HR and accounting tools, creating an automated flow from booking to reconciliation. The model combines booking commissions with corporate subscriptions, with plans that scale with travel volume. TravelPerk also developed GreenPerk, a program to offset the emissions of corporate travel, and FlexiPerk, which allows cancellation of any booking up to the day before with a guaranteed refund — an important differentiator in a market where flexibility became a priority after the pandemic.
