About ProGlove
ProGlove makes devices that let workers capture barcodes while keeping their hands available to handle goods and components. Its MARK range includes wearable scanners that connect to the customer's operating systems. MARK Pro adds four configurable buttons for confirming tasks and sending workflow commands. The portfolio also includes MAI, a wearable display for instructions, communication and issue reporting, and Warehouse 360, which combines scanning activity with WMS data and warehouse layouts. The business operates as Workaround GmbH and is based within Munich's municipal boundaries. Historical sources identify Thomas Kirchner, Jonas Girardet, Paul Gรผnther and Alexander Grots as the four original founders in 2014. A later company announcement also calls Konstantin Brunnbauer a co-founder, explaining that he first joined as an intern. He became managing director in January 2026. ProGlove serves logistics, manufacturing and retail operations through direct relationships and distribution partners. It announced a BlueStar agreement in 2025. Identified primary financing rounds total $48.9 million. Nordic Capital's purchase of the majority stake closed in June 2022 and is recorded separately as an ownership transaction, rather than being added to funding. ProGlove is therefore presented with its acquisition history explicitly stated.
The Story
The project began around Intel's 2014 Make it Wearable competition. The original four founders are supported by the legal adviser's release and the company timeline; Brunnbauer's later co-founder designation is dated separately.
