Collibra provides a cloud platform for enterprise data and AI governance. Its catalogue and metadata help teams find, understand and control data across applications, with quality, lineage, privacy and access-policy functions. Its AI features govern models, applications and agents, linking rules and evidence to operational controls. The company was founded in Brussels in 2008 by Felix Van de Maele, Stijn Christiaens and Pieter De Leenheer, and reports dual HQs in New York and Brussels. Between 2015 and 2021 it raised $593.5 million in six dollar announcements, from the $23M Series B to the $250M Series G of 9 November 2021, led by Sequoia Capital Global Equities and Sofina. The Series G valued it at $5.25 billion, more than double its previous valuation. Snowflake announced a strategic investment in January 2022, with an undisclosed amount. Collibra is a private unicorn according to its latest verified valuation, which is not a 2026 valuation.
