About Beyond Vision
Beyond Vision is a Portuguese company founded in 2013 by a group of electrical engineering and computer science experts, originally to build software with advanced technologies. It began with drones and then moved towards collaborative autonomous systems with AI. It is based in Alverca, in the Lisbon area, and is part of the PDM Group. Its range includes the BVT516 fixed-wing VTOL drone, the BVQ418 quadcopter, the BVQ825 octocopter with AI capabilities and beXStream, a cloud platform for planning and controlling missions. Declared application areas are defence, infrastructure, safety and logistics; the website states that the company is an official registered NATO supplier of autonomous UAV systems. On 22 October 2026 it announced more than €28 million, co-led by Índico Capital Partners and Lince Capital, with a follow-on from ActiveCap, a shareholder since 2024. The funds are meant to scale production, accelerate research in AI and swarms, and expand international sales. According to EU-Startups the company has about 150 employees, a €15 million US contract signed in 2025 for 300 emergency drones by 2028 and a planned €50 million US factory in 2027.
