About WhiteLab Genomics
WhiteLab Genomics is a biotechnology company founded in 2019 that combines artificial intelligence and biology to speed up the development of genomic medicines. It has offices in Paris, Boston and Montreal; Boston is its hub for North American biopharma relationships. CEO and co-founder David Del Bourgo leads it, and it went through the Y Combinator accelerator. Its platform, ALFRED (AI-Led Framework for Rational Exploration in Drug Design), designs and optimises delivery systems for cell and gene therapies. In in vivo studies carried out with the Paris Brain Institute, it designed AAV vectors that crossed the blood-brain barrier. The company is extending the work to non-viral systems such as lipid nanoparticles and to programmable genetic payloads, including synthetic promoters. On 6 October 2026 it announced a $26 million Series B led by AVP, with new investors Yaday Health and Blast Club and existing investors Omnes Capital and Debiopharm Innovation Fund. The money funds in vivo validation programmes, aiming at a portfolio of bio-assets to advance alone or with pharma partners; areas named are Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, ALS, lysosomal storage diseases and glioblastoma. Collaborators named include Sanofi, Cytiva, the Paris Brain Institute and Institut Imagine.
