About Renasens AB

Textile recycling has a structural problem that sustainability figures rarely convey: most mechanical recycling processes degrade fibres, reducing them to progressively shorter lengths until they become unusable for quality manufacturing. And traditional chemical processes consume enormous quantities of water. The result is that only a tiny fraction of global textile waste is actually recycled into new fibres. Renasens AB has developed a proprietary process that addresses both problems at once. Renasens's technology enables waterless textile recycling while preserving fibre quality intact. The process transforms mixed textile waste โ€” including materials that traditional systems cannot handle โ€” into clean, recycled fibres ready for manufacturing, without the water consumption that characterises conventional chemical processes and without the quality degradation of mechanical recycling. The target market is the fashion and textile supply chain, one of the most polluting sectors in the world, facing growing pressure from both consumers and European regulation โ€” from the strategy for sustainable textile products to the mandatory separate collection of textile waste introduced in many EU countries. Renasens's customers include fashion brands, textile manufacturers, recyclers, and supply chain operators that need concrete solutions for treating post-consumer and post-industrial waste. Renasens's goal is industrial scale: demonstrating that its process can operate at meaningful volumes at costs competitive with virgin fibres, closing the loop on a circular textile economy that today remains largely theoretical. In a sector where sustainability narratives often run faster than technological reality, Renasens presents itself with a process that aims to make quality textile recycling not the exception but the norm.

The Story

Our mission is to unlock circular fabrics by transforming mixed waste into high-quality fibers through our proprietary, water-free process that preserves the integrity of the fibers.
