About Rabot Energy
Rabot Energy is a digital energy provider based in Hamburg, active since 2021 and operated by RABOT Energy DE GmbH. It sells electricity on dynamic tariffs: the price follows the wholesale market, and AI-based optimisation shifts consumption, such as electric-vehicle charging, towards the cheapest hours and those with more renewable power. In June 2026 the company launched Rabot Flow, a bundle of a dynamic tariff, a smart meter and a home battery that plugs into a standard socket. It needs no rooftop solar of its own, so renters can use it. The company says a typical household can cut energy costs by 15 per cent. The batteries connected to the platform are the core of its virtual power plant plan: many small batteries coordinated as one asset. On 15 October 2026 Rabot announced a Series B of 50 million led by Endeit, with the DeepTech & Climate Fonds and existing investors HV Capital, High-Tech Gründerfonds, Bosch Ventures, CNI, Acurio Ventures and vent.io. It reports more than 200,000 customers, about 15,000 of them commercial and industrial. The stated goal is one million customers, extending the platform to EV chargers, heat pumps and other devices.
The Story
Jan Rabe and Maximilian Both, who had previously founded Wechselpilot, started Rabot Charge in Hamburg in 2021; the company now operates as Rabot Energy. Its first product was optimised electric-vehicle charging.
