About Qilimanjaro Quantum Tech
Qilimanjaro Quantum Tech is a quantum computing company founded in Barcelona in 2019. It is based at Carrer de Veneçuela 74. The CEO is Marta P. Estarellas and the team has about 80 people of more than 22 nationalities. It describes itself as Spain's only full-stack quantum computing company: it designs its own chips, software and algorithms and builds cryogenics and control electronics. Its technology is analog and digital quantum processors based on superconducting fluxonium qubits, combined with classical high-performance computing. The offering includes on-premises systems (On Prem), cloud access through the SpeQtrum platform and education services (EduQit). The company says it has installed eight quantum systems, three of them integrated with the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, including the first analog quantum computer integrated into a European HPC centre; installations also include TII in Abu Dhabi. Customers are in energy, telecoms, logistics, healthcare and finance. On 14 October 2026 it announced a €19.6 million first close of its Series A: €10 million from Indra Group through IndraMind, via an instrument that converts at closing, and €9.6 million from the public company SETT, with Avançsa and other existing investors taking part. The round is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026.
