Polarium

Polarium develops lithium-ion batteries, energy storage systems and management software for telecoms, commercial and industrial sites and homes. Its software platform aggregates distributed capacity into virtual power plants, and the group also offers leasing and battery-as-a-service after integrating Stella Futura, announced on 04/06/2025. It was founded in 2015 by Stefan Jansson, was called Incell International until 2020 and is headquartered in Stockholm. On 03/05/2022 AMF joined as a new investor with SEK 955M at a $1B valuation, followed on 28/06/2022 by SEK 178M at the same price per share. A SEK 436M rights issue followed on 28/08/2023 and SEK 500M of convertible preference shares on 01/10/2024, for SEK 2,069M across the four equity announcements. It remains a private unicorn on the strength of the 2022 round valuation, but the current value is not verified. In 2025 net sales were SEK 896M with EBITDA of minus SEK 61M; Pontus Winberg has been CEO since 01/10/2026.
