Parship is an online dating platform founded in 2000 and operational since 2001, headquartered in Hamburg and part of ParshipMeet Group — the world's third-largest dating & video operator by its own classification — in turn controlled by ProSiebenSat.1. Alongside Parship, the group owns other sector brands such as LOVOO and ElitePartner, competing in the German and Central European online dating market. 2025-2026 brought a thorough leadership renewal: Matthew Gain, a former Amazon/Audible executive with nine years at the U.S. group, became CEO of ParshipMeet Group as of March 1, 2025, succeeding Marc Schachtel after 14 years at the helm. In February 2026, a CFO change followed, with Justin Zinck appointed to succeed Henning Rönneberg, who departed after more than 15 years with the company. On the technology front, the group completed the migration of the Skout app onto the LOVOO platform, letting both apps share the same infrastructure while remaining independently branded. Financial results showed signs of strain: Dating & Video segment revenue fell 9% to €98 million in the second quarter, with a 13% decline in the dating business and a 4% drop in video, reflecting an increasingly competitive market environment. Against this backdrop, Bloomberg reported that ParshipMeet Group was reportedly considering a possible listing on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, an option that would signal the group's intent to access capital markets to fund its turnaround strategy in a sector — online dating — that has faced growing competitive pressure and slowing global organic growth in recent years.
