Building and managing financial indices is one of those processes that banks and investment managers have run for decades on legacy systems, spreadsheets and manual workflows. PANTA was founded in London in 2024 to replace this fragmented stack with a single cloud-native SaaS platform covering the full lifecycle of a financial index: from initial design to daily calculation, from delivery to institutional clients to periodic rebalancing, and through to reporting and regulatory compliance. The founding team — led by Sproehnle and Mark Pralle — identified a market that European venture capital has largely overlooked: the hidden infrastructure of institutional finance. Processes critical to the movement of trillions of dollars, but still managed by major banks on systems built in the 1990s. PANTA operates as a calculation and automation layer for anyone who issues, manages or distributes bespoke financial indices — from wealth managers to investment banks. In 2026, the company raised €3.4 million in a Seed round led by Fuel Ventures, split between €1.7 million from the VC fund and €1.7 million as an Innovate UK Innovation Loan. The same year, PANTA won two awards at the FStech Awards 2026: Startup of the Year and Financial Sector Innovation of the Year — recognition that signals meaningful validation in a sector known for its conservatism.
