Founded by Greg Marsh, previously founder of onefinestay, Nous has built an AI agent for household administration: it finds cheaper deals, switches providers, cancels subscriptions, fills in forms, flags unfavourable contract terms, manages family deadlines and books tradespeople, acting on the user’s behalf once authorised. It combines large language models with rules-based systems, especially for financial decisions, and talks to users via WhatsApp. The service is free, with a Premium plan at £6.99 per household per month. The company reports nearly 250,000 households served and more than $900 million of annual household spending managed across energy, broadband, mobile and car insurance. On October 26, 2026 it raised $17 million from Heartcore Capital and seed investor Mosaic Ventures, with Chalfen Ventures, Joyance Partners and Bain & Company’s Future Back Ventures, to expand internationally and into regulated financial services such as insurance.
