FTAPI Software GmbH was founded in 2010 and is headquartered in Munich. Its offering addresses exchanges of confidential information between organisations and outside recipients. Products cover encrypted mail, shared document rooms, structured data collection through forms and process automation. A CeGaT case study describes using the platform to deliver genetic reports and reduce manual processing. FTAPI sells cloud services to organisations and operates a reseller programme. Modules can be combined and connected with other systems; end-to-end encryption is an optional capability rather than a blanket description of every service. The ownership history includes QSC buying 51% in February 2014 and a management buyout in 2017. Digital+ Partners, now Yttrium, invested in 2021, with company sources reporting conflicting amounts of €15 million and €14.5 million. In February 2025, Armira Growth and Tikehau Capital announced a €65 million transaction in which Yttrium exited.
