About Fleek

Fleek is a London-based startup founded in 2021 by Abhi Arora and Sanket Agarwal. The company operates a B2B marketplace for secondhand fashion, connecting wholesale suppliers with retailers, resellers and boutiques across more than 100 countries. In July 2026 it raised a $25M Series B led by Burda Principal Investments, with eBay, FJ Labs, H14 and existing investors including Andreessen Horowitz, HV Capital and Y Combinator. The capital will be used to scale its AI infrastructure for sorting, grading, pricing, merchandising and marketplace operations.

How Fleek grows

Growth Strategy

Scale AI-native marketplace operations, expand buyer/supplier network, grow engineering and automate inventory processing, merchandising and buyer discovery.

Distribution Model

B2B marketplace connecting suppliers and resellers globally.

Marketplace network effects, proprietary transaction and inventory data, AI classification models, supplier relationships and cross-border secondhand supply chain operations.

Regulatory Context

Relevant to textile waste policy, circular economy regulation, digital product passports and cross-border commerce.

Key Risks

  • Quality consistency across heterogeneous inventory
  • Operational complexity in cross-border secondhand trade
  • Trust and dispute management
  • Competition from existing resale platforms and marketplaces
  • Reliance on supply-side digitisation adoption

Strategic Insights

  • In physical marketplaces, AI can increase liquidity by turning non-standardised objects into structured data.
  • Marketplace plus proprietary AI model creates a loop: more transactions, better classification, better matching.
  • Participation from eBay and Burda reinforces the resale, marketplace and circular-commerce thesis.

Lessons from Fleek

  • When supply is messy, the product is not only a marketplace: it is classification infrastructure.
  • AI becomes more defensible when trained on proprietary transaction data.
  • Value can emerge from unglamorous processes such as sorting, grading and pricing.
