About Yokoy
Yokoy is a Swiss startup founded in 2019 in Zurich by Philippe Sahli, Devis Lussi, Thomas Inhelder, and Lars Mangelsdorf, which developed an AI platform for automated corporate expense management. The product automates the entire expense management lifecycle โ from expense report and invoice submission, to policy compliance verification, to approval and integration with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) โ eliminating the manual work that in many large organisations still requires hours of data entry and reconciliation. Yokoy raised $108 million from top investors including Sequoia Capital and Speedinvest, establishing itself as one of the most capitalised players in European expense management. The product distinguished itself through depth of SAP integration โ the dominant ERP system in large European enterprises โ and an AI-first approach that automates expense categorisation, anomaly detection, and policy compliance. In early 2025, Yokoy was acquired by TravelPerk โ the Barcelona-founded corporate travel management platform โ in a move that creates an integrated suite for comprehensive management of both travel and non-travel corporate expenses. The integration of Yokoy into the TravelPerk platform aims to offer a single solution for travel booking, expense management, and accounting reconciliation.
