The platform allows patients to book video consultations with certified doctors within hours, receive electronic prescriptions, medical certificates, and specialist referrals without waiting weeks for a physical appointment. WebDoctor operates in an Irish market where the shortage of GPs and the cost of private consultations are structural problems: the service positions itself as an accessible alternative for non-urgent cases that do not require physical examination.
