Visma is one of Europe's largest software groups, founded in 1996 in Oslo with a precise ambition: to build the most comprehensive business management software suite for Scandinavian small and medium enterprises. Over thirty years, through a systematic and decisive acquisition-driven growth strategy, Visma built an ecosystem of over 200 software products covering accounting, ERP, payroll, HR, e-invoicing, and tax compliance — serving over 1.5 million companies across 20 European countries with more than 20,000 employees. Visma is owned by a consortium of institutional investors led by HG Capital, with a multi-billion valuation. The business has progressively shifted from on-premise software to the cloud: today the majority of Visma products are SaaS, with stable recurring revenues and high retention. Its dominant position in Nordic markets and gradual expansion into Central and Southern Europe make Visma one of the most important players in European SME business management software.
