About Verkor

Verkor is one of Europe's most ambitious deeptech scaleups: founded in Grenoble in 2020, it aims to build the first fully European high-performance battery gigafactory. The project combines materials research (developed with CEA-Leti support), a demonstration plant in Grenoble and a 16 GWh gigafactory in Dunkirk, backed by over โ‚ฌ3 billion in public and private financing including France 2030, Renault Group and Schneider Electric.

The Story

Founded in 2020 by Benoit Lemaignan and co-founders with support from Schneider Electric, EIT InnoEnergy and Renault Group to close Europe's gap in advanced batteries.
