Synaps is an Austrian startup that raised €3.06M in a pre-seed round in 2026, backed by Plug and Play and Fil Rouge. The company develops an AI canvas specifically designed for architects and interior designers: a unified platform integrating generative design, 3D visualization, real-time collaboration and professional presentation tools. The product, launched in beta in November 2025 with the full product expected in summer 2026, positions itself as a more accessible and powerful alternative to traditional industry tools, with the ambition to do for architecture what Figma did for UI design.
The Story
Founded by three Albanian-born entrepreneurs — Brendon Ahmeti, Agron Bajraktari and Kevin Cobaj — based in Vienna. After two years of stealth development, Synaps made its public debut in November 2025 in Tirana, presenting the beta to some of the world's leading architects — with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and figures such as Bjarke Ingels and Kengo Kuma in attendance. A deliberate strategic choice: launch first in the Albanian capital, where the founders have their roots, and scale globally from there.
How Synaps works
Business Model
SaaS platform for architects featuring Vecy AI — a generative vector floorplan tool trained on architects' behavioral patterns, reducing commands by 80% and accelerating drafting by a claimed factor of 50 — and a proprietary rendering engine claimed to be 100–1,000x faster than current solutions. At launch: 60,000 total users, 1,500 daily active users, hundreds of paying customers. Six of the world's ten most globally significant architectural offices have already trialled the platform.
