About Raisin
Raisin is a German fintech platform founded in 2012 (operational since 2013) in Berlin, connecting savers to high-yield banking products — deposit accounts, savings accounts, investment products — offered by partner banks across Europe and, more recently, in the United States. In 2021, Raisin merged with German rival Deposit Solutions to form Raisin DS, combining Raisin's B2C model (aimed directly at savers) with Deposit Solutions' B2B component (distributing deposits on behalf of banks). February 2025 brought a new funding round: a €60 million Series E aimed at accelerating U.S. growth, bringing the company's total funding to $321 million. 2025 saw Raisin cross the €30 billion mark in assets under administration, a milestone confirming the platform's scale after more than a decade of operation. In the second half of 2025, the company also completed a brand repositioning, unifying all previously used local names — including "WeltSparen by Raisin" in Germany and Austria — under the single "Raisin" name across all ten markets served. March 2026 marked Raisin's entry into the Italian retail market with the launch of its B2C offering, a significant step given that Italy is Europe's third-largest deposit market. Investors who have participated in the platform's growth have generated over €4 billion in cumulative returns through Raisin. Raisin operates in the pan-European deposit marketplace, where its multinational scale and network of partner banks form a significant barrier to entry for new competitors, consolidating Raisin's position as the reference platform for European savers seeking the most competitive deposit rates.
