About Pleo
Corporate expenses have always been one of the biggest friction points in the daily life of an employee and a finance team. The employee pays out of pocket, collects receipts, fills out a reimbursement form, and waits weeks. The finance team receives a pile of crumpled receipts at month-end and reconciles everything manually. Pleo chose to eliminate this cycle at its root. Founded in Copenhagen by Jeppe Rindom and Niccolo Perra, Pleo provides physical and virtual corporate cards to employees โ each configurable with spending limits and categories โ alongside an app that allows receipts to be photographed at the moment of purchase and out-of-policy expenses to be approved in real time. The finance team sees all spending in real time, categorized and ready to export to accounting software. No end-of-month surprises, no personal advances, no piles of receipts. Pleo targets European SMEs with a per-user subscription SaaS model, positioning itself as a modern alternative to complex enterprise solutions. The platform integrates with leading accounting tools โ Xero, QuickBooks, Datev โ and adapts to the tax compliance requirements of different European countries. With a presence across many European markets and thousands of company clients, Pleo has demonstrated that corporate expense management can be a positive experience for everyone involved, not merely a necessary evil.
