About INVITRIS
Modern biotechnology is built on the ability to produce, purify, and study proteins and complex biological molecules with the precision and reproducibility that research increasingly demands. From producing monoclonal antibodies for therapy to synthesising enzymes for industrial applications, from cell culture for drug discovery to producing viral vectors for gene therapy: every phase of this work requires specialised competences and technologies. Invitris positions itself as a biotechnology company focused on advancing research and development in life sciences and medical technology, with an offering aimed at those working at the boundary between biology and medicine. Natural clients are biotech companies, academic research teams, and pharmaceutical partners developing proteins, biotherapeutics, and biological platforms for drug discovery and advanced biotechnology applications. Invitris's contribution to this ecosystem is that of a technical enabler: providing the expertise, technologies, and services that allow others to advance their research more effectively and quickly. In a sector where development speed is a direct competitive advantage - those who arrive first with a promising molecule hold an enormous advantage in subsequent development - having reliable technical partners who support the operational part of the development pipeline is a critical factor. The life science sector is one of the most dynamic and capital-intensive in Europe, with growing demand for specialised biologics production and development expertise. At a moment when the speed of developing new drugs and therapies is more critical than ever, having reliable partners that support the technical part of the development pipeline is a concrete competitive advantage. Invitris enters this space with a focus that, while niche, responds to a structural and growing need within the European life science ecosystem.
The Story
Founded in 2022 by Patrick Grossmann and Kilian Vogele, Invitris has 6 employees based in Munich, Germany. I co-founded Invitris to radically simplify the development of drugs aimed at stopping antibiotic resistance, which has the potential to become the dominant economic and health challenge of this century. Among them are 32 Biosciences, Clever Carnivore, etc. 32 Biosciences is a private company founded in 2023 in the USA, focusing on the development of innovative and evidence-based solutions to treat and prevent human diseases through...
