Integra Therapeutics is a biopharmaceutical startup founded in 2020 in Barcelona as a Pompeu Fabra University spin-off by Dr. Marc Güell and Dr. Avencia Sánchez-Mejías. The company developed FiCAT (CRISPR-Cas Assisted Transposition), a gene writing platform fusing the targeting precision of CRISPR-Cas with the large payload insertion capacity of engineered piggyBac transposase, overcoming typical CRISPR size limitations. Main applications are genetic diseases, CAR-T cancer therapies and autoimmune diseases. In September 2025 it raised €10.7M in a pre-Series A with EIC Fund, CDTI Innvierte, AdBio Partners, Columbus Venture Partners, Invivo Partners and Takeda Ventures.
