Gradient Labs is a London startup founded in 2023 by Dimitri Masin, Neal Lathia and Danai Antoniou — three of Monzo's earliest employees. The company developed Otto, a procedural AI agent for customer service in regulated industries such as fintech, insurtech and banking. Unlike generic chatbots, Otto learns the client company's operational procedures, products and escalation flows and autonomously handles complex inquiries, achieving a resolution rate of up to 90% with a 98% QA pass rate. It reduces costs by 75% vs human agents. In July 2025 it raised €11M in a Series A led by Redpoint Ventures with Localglobe, Puzzle Ventures and Liquid 2 Ventures.
