Frankenburg Technologies is an Estonian defence tech startup founded in 2024 in Tallinn by Taavi Madiberk (Chairman) and Marko Virkebau. The company was created to respond to a structural shift in European security: modern aerial threats โ drones and missiles โ can be produced cheaply and at scale, while traditional missile manufacturing has prioritised performance over speed, cost and regeneration capacity. Frankenburg develops guided interceptor missiles cheaper and producible at industrial volumes. In February 2026 it raised โฌ30M in a Series A led by Plural (Taavet Hinrikus of Wise) and SmartCap, bringing total raised to โฌ40M and initiating a โฌ100M Series B raise.
