About EGYM

The traditional gym has a data problem. Machines do not talk to each other, the personal trainer has no idea what the member did yesterday, and the facility manager cannot tell which equipment is over- or under-used. EGYM set out to solve this problem starting from the hardware, building an ecosystem of connected machines and management software that turns any fitness facility into a smart, measurable environment. EGYM's proposition operates on two mutually reinforcing levels. On one side, the smart equipment: connected machines that recognise the member, automatically adjust workloads, and log every session into an individual digital profile. On the other, facility management software: a platform that lets operators monitor space utilisation, automate check-in processes, and track member training journeys over time. The market is fitness and health facilities, a sector where competition increasingly hinges on member retention and the ability to demonstrate results. A member who can see their progress measured precisely and receives a programme that automatically adapts to their goals has far more reasons to renew their membership than someone using generic equipment. For operators focused on reducing operating costs, EGYM developed Smart Scaling: a configuration designed for clubs running with minimal or no on-floor staff, where automation replaces processes that traditionally required constant human intervention. It is a direct response to the margin pressures that define the fitness industry. The business model centres on ongoing services and solutions tailored to each client's needs, generating recurring revenue and creating functional dependency on the platform that shields existing customers from competitive alternatives. In a sector that accelerated its digitalisation after the pandemic, EGYM is well positioned to capture demand from facilities that want to stop managing reactively and start operating with data.
