Edmund

Edmund was founded in Prague in 2023 by Jakub Szlaur, Benjamin Przeczek, and Miroslav Marek to tackle one of manufacturing's most overlooked and costly challenges: the loss of expert know-how as senior technicians retire, and the costly downtime caused by faults no one can diagnose quickly enough. The platform consolidates all factory data sources — electrical schematics, PLC software, technical manuals, maintenance logs, and live IoT telemetry — into a single intelligent system that can be queried in natural language. Technicians describe a problem to Edmund the way they would explain it to a senior colleague, and receive a diagnosis with likely root causes and resolution steps within seconds. The results are measurable: Edmund reports a 26% reduction in average downtime at installed sites, with over 130 machines connected and approximately 441 technician hours saved per facility per year. In February 2025, Edmund closed a €500,000 pre-Seed round led by LightHouse Ventures. In April 2026, it announced a €2.5M Seed round led by FORWARD.one, with participation from University2Ventures and Tensor Ventures, to accelerate expansion across Europe and the United States.
