About DELFT CIRCUITS B.V.

Delft Circuits is a Dutch deep-tech company that has developed Cri/oFlex โ€” a proprietary superconducting cable technology designed to replace conventional copper wiring inside cryostats, the ultra-cold enclosures at the heart of quantum computing systems. Cri/oFlex delivers dramatically higher channel density, a significantly lower thermal load on the cryogenic system, and proven reliability at the scale required by serious quantum hardware deployments. Quantum computers operate at temperatures near absolute zero โ€” colder than outer space โ€” and the wiring that connects the quantum processors to the room-temperature control electronics is one of the most critical and least glamorous bottlenecks in the entire system. Conventional cables carry heat into the cryostat, limiting how cold the system can get and, in turn, how many qubits can be operated reliably. Delft Circuits' superconducting cabling eliminates that thermal leakage while simultaneously carrying far more signal channels per physical cable โ€” enabling the denser, more capable quantum systems that the industry is racing to build. Built in Delft โ€” the Dutch city that is also home to the university research group behind some of the world's most important quantum computing breakthroughs โ€” Delft Circuits brings both scientific credibility and deep engineering capability to a problem that every major quantum hardware company will eventually have to solve at scale. The company's recent key hires in marketing and sales signal a shift from R&D-focused operation toward commercial growth, with a new leadership appointment to drive the next phase of global expansion. As quantum hardware platforms scale from tens to hundreds to thousands of qubits, the demand for reliable, high-density cryogenic interconnects will grow in proportion. Delft Circuits is positioning itself as the foundational supplier of that infrastructure โ€” building in a city that has, increasingly, earned the right to be called the hardware capital of European quantum computing.

The Story

Together, they embarked on a mission: to solve the growing I/O bottleneck and enable the next phase of scalable cryogenic systems. In 2017, Sal Bosman and Daan Kuitenbrouwer officially founded Delft Circuits. All flexible cables pass quality control at room temperature and at cryogenic temperatures, including the critical temperature of the superconducting lines, transmission performance, and contact resistance.
