Creatopy — now rebranded as "The Brief" — is a creative automation platform founded in 2008 in Bucharest under the name Bannersnack. Starting as a tool for creating HTML5 advertising banners and animated GIFs, it evolved into a comprehensive suite for producing and distributing digital creative content at scale, integrating generative AI at the heart of the campaign creation process. In October 2025, the platform announced its rebrand to "The Brief" and the launch of what it calls the sector's first end-to-end "AI agency": a system of four specialised AI agents — Discover, Create, Launch, Optimize — that automate the entire lifecycle of digital advertising campaigns, from market research to material creation, from publishing to continuous optimisation. Customer results are significant: British Council achieved a 70% reduction in content production costs with creation times cut in half. The startup raised $10 million in a Series B round in 2022, with investors focused on growth in the marketing automation market. The transition from a design tool to an AI-first agency platform represents one of the most radical pivots in the European marketing tech startup landscape of recent years.
