Coverflex

Coverflex is a Portuguese SaaS platform founded in 2019 in Lisbon that has reinvented employee benefits management for the era of flexible work. In a context where workers increasingly expect personalised compensation packages — meal vouchers, corporate welfare, fringe benefits, healthcare, expense reimbursements — Coverflex offers companies a single interface to design and manage flexible benefits, and employees an app to discover, activate, and spend their benefits intuitively. The European employee benefits market has traditionally been rigid and fragmented: each benefit type (meal tickets, welfare, health) required a separate provider and complex administrative processes. Coverflex breaks this pattern by aggregating everything into a single platform with native payroll integration that simplifies fiscal and regulatory management. Commercial traction has been rapid: over 10,000 corporate clients and 200,000 active users. Coverflex raised €5 million in pre-seed (Breega) and €15 million in a Series A closed in February 2023, led by SCOR Ventures with reinvestment from existing investors. 2024 and 2025 saw the integration of Coverflex AI — an artificial intelligence layer for financial literacy and personalised benefit recommendations — in line with the HR tech market trend toward AI-driven personalisation.
