CALEJO SMART WATER

CALEJO SMART WATER (legal name Calejo Industrial Intelligence AB, founded in Sweden in May 2018) developed a self-learning, Reinforcement Learning-based modeling system for optimizing industrial production and maintenance processes, focused on energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. Founders: Johannes Holmberg (CEO), Carl Johard and Leonard Johard (CTO). A Swedish patent application is being finalized with the PRV, and an international PCT patent application has also been filed for the AI modeling and Reinforcement Learning engine. A project funded by Vinnova and PiiA with SCA (a sulphate pulp mill in Obbola, Sweden) for forecasting and optimizing steam consumption produced a model able to predict around 70% of fuel-oil usage episodes in bark boilers, reducing fossil fuel consumption. Other clients/partners cited include SCA, Boliden and Processum, with BillerudKorsnas and Nouryon cited as sector comparisons. CEO Johannes Holmberg has spoken at ITF Automation Days (Gothenburg, ~200 automation industry experts).
