About Booksy

Booking a haircut or a beauty treatment has always been an inefficient process: phone calls during peak hours, manually managed waiting lists, reminder messages, last-minute cancellations without management systems. Booksy built the solution to this problem for the beauty and wellness sector, developing a platform that connects hairdressers, barbers, beauty therapists, wellness centers, and nail artists with their clients through an online booking system available around the clock. Founded in Warsaw by Stefan Batory and Konrad Howard, Booksy took a mobile-first approach from the start: the app is designed both for the customer booking an appointment and for the professional managing their calendar, payments, and communications from the same interface. With over 30 million users across 30 countries, Booksy has become the reference marketplace for beauty and wellness in many European and North American markets. The business model is based on monthly subscriptions for service providers โ€” hairdressers and beauty centers pay a fixed fee to access the platform and manage bookings โ€” with the option to purchase additional features such as automated marketing, product management, and analytics. The market size is enormous: the beauty and wellness sector is worth hundreds of billions globally, and digitization is still partial, especially among independent professionals. Booksy found a perfect entry point into this fragmented market, building value for both professionals and consumers.
