Bloq.it is a Portuguese startup founded in 2018 in Lisbon that chose an unusual positioning in the smart locker market: not the locker manufacturer, but the builder of the operating system that runs them. The Bloq.OS platform integrates hardware from multiple manufacturers into a single management interface, enabling logistics operators and retailers to scale physical locker networks with software — reducing deployment costs and operational complexity. Growth has been rapid: in 2024, Bloq.it doubled revenues year-on-year from €16.4 million to €35 million, adding over 5,000 new lockers (+290% YoY). In May 2025, it closed a €28 million Series B — one of the largest ever raised by a Portuguese startup at this stage — and signed a partnership with InPost for the deployment of 20,000 new NEXT lockers across France, UK, Italy, Portugal, and Spain. Customers include Vinted Go, GLS, and DHL.
