BLOCKVISION

Blockvision is an Italian startup based in Turin, originating as a research project at the University of Bologna in 2019, that develops Digital Product Passports (DPPs) based on blockchain technology. A DPP is a supply chain transparency tool that allows brands and manufacturers to communicate to consumers the origin, sustainability, and authenticity of their products through verifiable, immutable traceability. The topic is urgent: the EU ESPR (Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation), which came into force in 2024, will make DPPs mandatory for many product categories by 2027 — creating a multi-billion-euro regulatory compliance market. Blockvision is well-positioned to ride this wave, having developed the technology ahead of the regulatory mandate. The startup has been supported by Styleit Accelerator, CesenaLab, and EmiliaRomagnaStartUp.
