Almetra

Almetra is a Berlin-based manufacturing intelligence company founded in 2022 by Maximilian Fischer and Silviu Homoceanu as a venture built out of Merantix, a Berlin AI studio, under the name Deltia. This year the company rebranded to Almetra, broadening its vision from a computer-vision tool to a full factory intelligence platform. The product combines video, machine data, IT systems and operator knowledge into a single source of operational truth: AI-powered cameras mounted above production lines process footage locally, converting it into structured data on cycle times, output rates and equipment utilisation, with no IT integration required. Worker privacy is built in: footage is anonymised and most data stays on-site. Almetra's customers include Bosch, Siemens Energy, ABB (which reports a 15% productivity improvement) and Aumovio (formerly Continental), and the company has been accepted into Google DeepMind's Robotics Accelerator and the Physical AI Fellowship run by NVIDIA, AWS and MassRobotics. In June 2026 it closed a €16.3M Series A led by blisce/ - the fund behind Spotify, Pinterest and Too Good To Go - with participation from NAP, Merantix Capital, Robin Capital, Underline and Critical Ventures, bringing total funding to roughly €20.8M after a €4.5M seed round closed in April 2024. The capital will fund product development, US expansion and the build-out of the platform's robotics capabilities.
