In this Unicorn Files episode we tell the story of Entrepreneurs First, one of the most interesting experiments in the global startup ecosystem: an investor born to bet on entrepreneurial talent before team, idea or company even exist.

Founded in 2011 by Alice Bentinck and Matt Clifford, Entrepreneurs First inverted one of venture capital's implicit rules. In 2026 Entrepreneurs First announced 200 million dollars of new capital, confirming a trajectory that now includes a portfolio declared at over 16 billion dollars and companies like Cleo, Aztec, Gensyn and PolyAI.
